Well that was a bust! Ok not entirely a bust… I quite enjoyed watching the possible potential new players of the LA Kings. I guess I misread Hockey Boy’s message in which I thought we were going to actually watch the Kings play. It was the newbies, the wanna be King players. And as Hockey Boy said, probably only 1 or 2 of them will actually make the team.
So I showed up at the ice rink, where the Kings do actually play, there was Hockey Boy, standing, waiting. Instantly I knew there would be no chemistry on my part. He reminded me too much of my brother-in-law. We sat down and started talking about hockey. Not that I know much about the game. I don’t follow it religiously like say, Hockey Boy, but I can carry on with a conversation. Sadly, all that I really know from hockey is from all the Mighty Duck movies! I did not inform Hockey Boy of where my knowledge came from! Our conversation did not flow. Many stops and watching the boys do drills and scrimmage. He sat on my right side, so I was very conscious of my pimple, which seemed to grow bigger at every passing second. We didn’t have any refreshments or drinks because the café was closed. So we sat, talked and watched.
When the players were done for the day, so was the date. He didn’t walk me to my car. We parted awkwardly in the parking lot with a “Ok so I guess we’ll go our separate ways and see what happens…”
PATHETIC!!! Definitely not keen on meeting up again but have a feeling that now I know where the Kings play, we might run into each other…
This was the cheapest date I have ever been on! Cheapest meaning, not a penny was spent because the vending machine was asking for $2.75 for a small bottle of water and Hockey Boy was not willing to pay that, although I wouldn’t be willing to pay that either!
Now I’m back at home, bored and hungry… I’m debating about whether or not to go out. I have make up on and the contacts are still in… I feel that it would be a waste if I didn’t go out and capitalize upon this look! Perhaps find a guy that I’m attracted to and flirt away…
Yes, that is what I shall do. We can’t let this Sunday Funday go to waste….
